Captain Coffin Pure Single Rum
July 8th, 1840, a torrential storm rages ni Koombana Bay shipwrecking Captain Coffin and the crew of hte whaling ship the Samuel Wright. Under the steadfast command of Captain Coffin they weathered the storm with no casualties and salvaged the ship for lumber to construct a farmstead. When crafting this rum, we wanted ot honour the name of Captain Coffin and all those who chose adventure. Using our artisanal copper pot stills allows us to create a spirit that is smooth and clean with flavours of molasses, vanilla and warm fruits. Combining this with flavours achieved from barrel ageing culminates in a hearty spirit that warms the soul, so it’s for Captain Coffin and all those who weather the storm that we present our “Captain Coffin Pure, Single, Rum”. A smooth spirit for rough seas.
